Aging will always entail eyesight problems, more particularly blurred vision or permanent vision loss, and consequently it’s one health issue most adults are more concerned about. In a recent survey, 44 percent of more than 2,000 adults admitted to being afraid of losing their sight more than developing Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or even heart diseases. This shouldn’t be the case, however, when you can prevent vision loss with regular visits to an Apex, NC eye doctor.
A new report by The Vision Council showed that one out of 28 Americans aged 40 and above suffer from low vision, a condition that even glasses, contact lenses, and other treatments cannot correct. This number is expected to grow, with baby boomers beginning to become susceptible to low vision, which was also found to be prevalent among people aged 65 and older.
